Before it was Libertine, the club was named Chinawhite

Back in the day, Chinawhite was a Fitzrovia hotbed for A-list celebrities, an elite clientele and the capital’s crème de la crème. After two decades of ranking as the go-to place for ritzy misfits, the venue experienced a relocation in 2009.

A few years later, the new management wanted to rebrand the upscale club’s concept.

Libertine London first opened its doors in 2013, when Chinawhite’s previous owners joined forces with nightclub entrepreneur Hootan Ahmadi to rejuvenate its glamorous DNA.

Fast forward to today, the Asian-themed club morphed into a luxurious and futuristic venue for one-of-a-kind clubbing experiences.

The club’s decor is known for its Insta-worthy appeal

Is it because of the custom-made oak tables, changing-colors upholstery, leather cushioning, or ultra-modern decor?

It’s a mixture of all four. One thing is for sure – Libertine’s interior is a beloved spot for fashion, media, and advertising photoshoots.

Libertine has a diverse musical setlist

Every A-list clubber knows that music diversity is part of Libertine’s ethos. Catering to everyone’s musical taste rather than staying loyal to one music genre, the lavish London nightclub features anything from electro sessions to the latest top commercial hits.

For a club of its caliber, you can expect top-notch London and international DJs spinning the decks every night.

Libertine spans across four different spaces

When the director’s venue sought to update the club’s formula by adding a dash of fresh experiential twists, Libertine was re-born as a multiple-room club.

But the main character of the story is Libertine London, also dubbed as the go-to spot for large-scale events, such as clubbing sessions and fashion shows.

The Mao Rooms make up the intimate upstairs section of the club, perfect for cutting-edge drink receptions and private parties.

If seeing a celebrity clubbing is at the top of your bucket list, Libertine will tick that off for you.

Widely known as a go-to clubbing spot for A-list celebs, this club brings together London’s blue blood and roaring names from the music industry.

A few of the celebs seen partying away at the high-class venue include the likes of Drake, Jamie Foxx, Michael B Jordan, Big Sean, Steve Aoki and Nelly – to only name a few.

Only names on the guestlist can get into Libertine London

Sticking to its predecessor’s exclusivity, Libertine London is a pro at keeping things intimate and private. If your name doesn’t pop up on the guest list, the door crew will ask you to step aside.

Inside Libertine, there is no such thing as stopping by for a cocktail and a quick chat.

The ritzy club challenges its clientele to immerse themselves completely in the club’s swank exclusivity.

If you don’t like disappointments, make sure your outfit is on fleek

Even guest list clubbers can be turned away if they are not sticking to the dress code – this alone embodies Libertine’s strictness when it comes to the vibe and look of its crowd.

Naturally, Libertine London expects its guests to look smart, classy and stylish – in other words, fellow clubbers should reflect the venue’s glitz and glam. Casual outfits are a big no, while sportswear should be left at the gym.

Libertine London features a cocktail lounge

In need of a proper time-out after the jaw-dropping dancers’ performances and bumpy R&B beats? Libertine has it all covered for you with its cutting-edge cocktail area – Reason & Mankind.

Within its speakeasy-style interior, multisensory bartenders reign supreme by bringing the mixology game to an adulation level.

We stand by that – the Silver Needle is served in a syringe.
