Do Not Sit On The Furniture is the leading underground club dedicated to merging electronic music, a buzzing atmosphere, and casual dress codes in one space.
This vibrant hotspot was established in 2013 in the City Center, an area within South Beach famous for its art galleries, sidewalk cafes, and live music venues. Owners Megan and Behrouz Nazari wanted to “create something good and give back” to the community.
Inside, the space only accommodates 150 people–making it one of the most intimate nightclubs in Miami.
What it lacks in space doesn’t translate to extravagant decor. Do Not Sit On The Furniture creates a sophisticated environment for electronic music lovers that sets it apart from Miami’s superclubs, featuring an ultra-modern light display in a cozy setting.
Showcasing a selection of electronic music, including deep house, techno, and minimalist electro, Do Not Sit On The Furniture nightclub is a no-frills, vibes-only locale that identifies itself as ‘underground.’ Do Not Sit On The Furniture attracts a younger crowd disillusioned with the flashy and expensive clubs that characterize the Miami nightlife scene.
Miami is a notoriously difficult place to open a nightclub; despite this challenge, owners Megan and Behrouz managed to think outside the box and open a thriving venue in the city’s most fashionable neighborhood.
