Forty Deuce puts Columbus on the map of international nightlife with its world-class burlesque shows.
Forty Deuce, styled as a hidden speakeasy, was created by Ivan Kane, who partnered up with other icons, like Elon Musk and David Bowie, setting it on an equal footing with the best clubs in Hollywood and Las Vegas.
The nightclub was established in 2002, and Columbus hasn’t been the same. You can find Forty Deuce in Easton Columbus, northeast of the city.
Forty Deuce features an expansive patio with colorful murals and an effortless vibe. You can also enjoy its cozy cafe, with checkered floors and a doodle-covered bar.
The doorway to Narnia, or in this case to Forty Deuce’s nightclub, can be found in the kitchen. A walk-in refrigerator takes you to a different part of Forty Deuce, where all the magic happens.
The burlesque club boasts runways that bring the show to every last corner, lush red lounges, nude art, and crystal beads curtains; the dimly lighting only adds to the sexy ambiance.
If the burlesque dancers of Forty Deuce club are sirens, then the jazz played by the trio is their call. Catering to all kinds of audiences, Forty Deuce has drag queens casting their spells too. DJs play a mix of pop, old-school hip-hop, and disco music, spicing up the night and getting the crowds grooving.
The jewel of Columbus is one worth a plane ticket and a bit of jet lag. The nightclub isn’t just a haunt for the locals; Forty Deuce gathers clubbers from all over the world to seek its unique experience.
Forty Deuce etched its name in the history books as the godfather of burlesque clubs in Columbus.
