Good Room nightclub is one of New York’s most popular dance clubs. Clear your schedule if you love all things house and techno.
In operation since 2014, the Good Room is located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of north Brooklyn. Historically a working-class and immigrant neighborhood, it is now becoming the center of nightlife in New York. A plain, black exterior without a sign gives clubbers no indication of a nightclub if not for the line of people waiting to get inside.
Inside, two dance spaces make up the main room and are cheekily named “Bad Room.” A large bar stocked with a variety of drinks means less time waiting by the bar and more time spent bopping to the beat on the dance floor.
Good Room is highly selective with who gets to spin at their venue. Thanks to Good Room’s crisp d&b audiotechnik sound system, DJs such as Heather, Nancy Whang, Juan Maclean, and The Carry Nation have dropped major beats at this venue.
This underground scene pulls in an alternative crowd – from Brooklyn hipsters to ravers who frequent house and techno clubs. Despite its exclusive setlist, Good Room prides itself on being an inclusive and open club that is open to everyone who loves music.
While the rest of the city is winding down, parties at the Good Room are just revving up. It’s known for its killer music and clear sound system, which is so good you can feel the bass go through you.
