Playing all kinds of music and hosting legendary stars, Parliament earns its stripes fair and square.
The people of Downtown Oakland secured their new hangout spot in 2014. The club was a retail space in its past life and is now a party hotspot spanning two floors. Although Parliament has an intimidating black exterior, its vibe is anything but. The black building has classic-looking paneled walls and french style sunshades.
On the inside, the black persists with complementary brick walls and pendant lights. Parliament nightclub has an outdoor area too, fully equipped for rain or shine, with heat lamps and canopy tents.
Artists like the Grammy winner Mýa have performed for Parliament’s energetic crowds. With diverse music ranging from Afrobeats, Latin, and club hits to rap, reggae, R&B, and amapiano, hitting the dance floor is a no-brainer.
Where you find a broad spectrum of music, you are sure to find all kinds of clubbers. One thing Parliament’s patrons have in common is they’re all young and ready to party.
The only politics you’ll find in Parliament is that of music and dance moves.
