Bringing Berlin’s underground hedonism to Riga’s heart, Skapis Club is a free-spirited dancing spot.
When it opened its doors to the public in 2023, northeast of Riga‘s central area, the club gave another dimension to the city’s nightlife. Centrs, where Skapis Club resides, is famous for its early 1900s art nouveau buildings and historical landmarks.
As for the nightlife venue, it is located inside a standalone bricked complex that also hosts cozy cafes, bars, and breweries.
Less is more seems to be the Riga club’s motto. With an industrial interior, strobing lights, and square pillars, Skapis Club creates a warehouse-y vibe. The decor’s rawness is cooled down by textured ceilings and strings of LED lights adorning the bricked walls.
While the venue isn’t colorful, its vibe sure is. When drag show performances don’t take center stage, electronic beats and commercial hits keep the night going.
From queer community members to allies, Skapis Club’s arms are open to everyone. Riga’s young and restless clubbers are familiar faces at the partying hub, so you can dance and mingle with locals.
