Away from Taipei’s upscale clubbing culture, Studio 9 creates a fuss-free party atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Launched in 2021 to give the electronic-loving community an alternative to commercial EDM, Studio 9 is nestled in central Taipei. The nightclub can be found atop a building overlooking Ximending, a bustling district known for its shopping streets and department stores.
Elusive and seemingly underground, the intimate Studio 9 nightclub features a terrace with sweeping views of the city. While the space serves as a bar on weekdays, the Taipei club transforms into a dancing venue during the weekend.
Less is more seems to be Studio 9’s mantra, as minimal decor focusing on trippy visuals dominates the venue.
Both international and local DJs bring in the best minimal techno and deep house and ensure party-goers won’t leave Studio 9 until morning.
The Taipei club’s crowds can be diverse, but young revelers seeking something else from their clubbing experience are familiar faces at Studio 9.
