Born in 2003, the club resides in central Hamburg’s harbourside district of Altona-Alstadt. It is housed inside a quirky establishment featuring brick murals adorned with eye-catching graffiti.
Spanning two rooms, Waagenbau boasts a gritty atmosphere with exposed brick walls, low ceilings, dim lighting, a top-notch sound system, and an intimate dance floor, creating an underground and alternative vibe.
When it comes to music, Waagenbau primarily focuses on techno music, with live bands occasionally jamming their playlists. The club is also home to occasional party series aside from electronic such as hip-hop and reggae / dancehall.
Ravers of all ages and backgrounds frequent the club to get a dose of Waagenbau’s underground ambiance.
