Printworks Releases Lineups For Closing Weekend Party

London’s electronic institution Printworks unveiled the lineups for its four final-ever events. Set to take place at the end of the month, Printworks’ closing weekend will run from Friday 28th April to Monday 1st May with genre-defining artists like Black Coffee, Peggy Gou and CamelPhat. 

Each of the four nights has been curated to reflect the Southwark venue’s ethos while hosting Printworks alumni. The closing extravaganza will kick off on Friday with Black Coffee’s Printworks debut, Maya Jane Coles’ return, and Danny Howard. 

Saturday’s house-friendly lineup will see Stephan Bodzin’s live set take over the audio decks. Other sought-after talents include production duo CamelPhat and electronic group Adriatique.  

Printworks’ closing season will feature a high-voltage music program on Sunday, with over 20 jungle and garage artists.

For the electronic venue’s last hurrah, techno powerhouse Peggy Gou will dictate the soundtrack of the night. Other artists to look out for on Printworks’ last-ever event include the likes of DJ Koze, Dixon, and TSHA. 

“The Closing Weekend at Printworks is an opportunity for us to represent musically what the space has meant to so many people during the last six years,” said Broadwick Live’s director of music, Ajay Jayaram. 

Last summer, Southwark council gave the green light for a renovation plan that would see Printworks  turn into offices. Although the music institution confirmed “detailed talks” with British Land’s developers in September, no update has been released since. 

When it took over a former printing factory in 2017, Printworks started its journey to becoming one of London’s most-coveted clubbing spots. During its lifespan, the electronic hub has hosted roaring DJ names and jaw-dropping music programs.
