New research by financial services company NetCredit highlights the highest-earning EDM songs in various countries. Based on their dataset, which assumes a standard rate of $0.005 per stream, the company analyzed Spotify streaming revenues generated by electronic tracks.
The Chainsmokers claimed two spots on the list, with Closer earning over $2 million in streaming revenue in the US alone. Their Something Just Like This song also secured a position, making the duo the sole act with multiple entries.
Elsewhere, SAINt JHN’s Roses remix emerged as a money-making machine in 14 countries, with Canada streams generating the highest revenue.
Pnau’s remix of Elton John’s chart-topping Cold Heart hit takes the lead as the highest-earning track in South American countries, including Brazil and Argentina.
Meanwhile, Avicii’s dance anthem Wake Me Up proved to be a financial success in his home country of Sweden, generating over $650,000.
