X100, a one-off music festival celebrating Iannis Xenakis’ legacy, is set to take over Kraftwerk Berlin this weekend. From Friday evening through Sunday night, over 20 A-list artists – who have frequented the DJ booths of Berghain, Corsica Studios, and HOLO – will take over the audio decks.
By celebrating the Greek music theorist and composer, the three-day event will be dubbed as the weekend’s go-to platform for experimental and avant-garde beats.
Roaring names from the lineup include Berlin-based DJ Bill Kouligas, electronic artist DJ Marcelle, and noise musician Dreamcrusher. In the spirit of Iannix Xenakis, X100 festival promises a focus on his electro-acoustic, instrumental and vocal heritage.
Works like Mikka, Nuits, and S.709 will be integrated into performances and presentations by music heroes who are a part of today’s experimental culture.
